Tozando's AH250 tetron hakama is a durable, comfortable basic hakama that we use ourselves as our everyday hakama in daily training. It is built for active use: it is easy to fold, the pleats fall clearly into place and the fabric stays neat even after repeated training. We think this model is excellent value for money.
The hakama has several features tailored for aikido. The most important are the stitched inner pleats, which help it keep a proper, crisp shape, and the soft rubber core of the koshi-ita, which adds comfort especially during ukemi. The design takes smooth movement, fit and practicality into account, in throws and mat work alike.
The fabric is tetron (65% polyester, 35% rayon), which makes the hakama light, quick-drying and hard-wearing. It holds its shape well and does not crease easily, which makes care easy and keeps it looking smart.
Although the AH250 is not made in Japan, it is subject to strict quality control and covered by the manufacturer's warranty. That makes it a reliable, worry-free choice for regular training.
