Membership conditions

1. Membership and contract period

Membership is valid one month at a time. For beginners' courses and other courses, the length of the contract is stated in the course description. For example, the beginners' course fee for junior trainees includes a two-month beginners' course and one month of training in the continuation group.

Monthly or course fees are not refunded if a member stops partway through a membership or course period.

2. Invoicing and payment methods

We recommend e-invoicing to our members. E-invoices are free for members and environmentally friendly. For paper invoices we charge a delivery fee of 5 euros according to the current price list, which covers the cost of sending paper invoices.

Invoices can also be sent by email. In that case they are sent to the email address the member has provided. The member is responsible for making sure that the address is correct and working, and should also check their spam folder, as a spam filter may move the invoice there.

The payment methods for a membership valid until further notice are as follows.

2.1 E-invoice

The monthly fee can be paid by e-invoice, in which case the payment is charged on the due date. Members receive instructions for paying by e-invoice when they register. Please read the instructions carefully so that the payment is made correctly.

2.2 Email invoice

You can also choose to receive your invoice by email. The invoice must be paid with the correct reference number no later than the due date.

2.3 Special payment methods

Monthly or course fees can also be paid with, for example, Smartum balance, ePassi or Edenred. In these conditions, these are called special payment methods. If you have another sports benefit, for example one provided by your employer, check that it can be used by emailing info@aikidounlimited.fi.

3. General membership conditions

Aikido Unlimited membership is personal and cannot be transferred or rented to another person.

In special cases, Aikido Unlimited Oy may at its discretion suspend or terminate a membership because of unpaid membership fees or behaviour that is inappropriate to the atmosphere of the dojo. If a membership has been suspended because of unpaid fees and the member wishes to continue, the member must contact us by email at info@aikidounlimited.fi to agree on paying the outstanding invoices and restoring the membership. Aikido Unlimited Oy has the right to transfer unpaid invoices to a collection agency.

Training at the Aikido Unlimited dojo is at the member's own risk. Members must follow the dojo's common rules, the instructors' guidance and any other instructions. Staff are not always present at the dojo. To the extent permitted by law, Aikido Unlimited Oy is not liable for personal injury or damage to property suffered by a member or their belongings. Members are responsible for their own insurance. We recommend the Finnish Aikido Federation's licence and insurance.

Aikido Unlimited Oy has the right to cancel individual training sessions. In case of illness, we try to arrange a substitute instructor. If sessions have to be cancelled, trainees are entitled to attend replacement sessions during the following month.

Members must notify us of any changes to their name, phone number, address or email address by email at info@aikidounlimited.fi.

Aikido Unlimited Oy reserves the right to change its prices. Price changes are announced on the website and to members by email, and they take effect from the beginning of the month following the date of the announcement.

Aikido Unlimited Oy has the right to change these membership conditions. The conditions in force at any given time are available on the Aikido Unlimited Oy website.

Aikido Unlimited Oy is not obliged to refund fees paid by a member if the dojo or part of it has to be closed temporarily because of necessary maintenance work, or for example by decision of the authorities or for another similar reason. In such cases we will nevertheless try to arrange replacement sessions once the obstacle has ended.

Aikido Unlimited Oy has the right to transfer the contract to a third party without the member's express consent.

4. Photography and filming

Aikido Unlimited training sessions are filmed for teaching purposes for our own YouTube channel, which is open to members only. Sessions are also sometimes photographed and filmed for marketing on social media and in other media. Members taking part in training may appear in photos and videos. If you do not want to appear in photos or videos, let the photographer know. We will try to respect your wish and leave you out of the material.
