Description

The Tozando suburi bokken is a quality wooden sword designed for practising basic cuts, combining traditional Japanese craftsmanship with a durable material. It is made from Hokkaido oak, and the whole process, from planting and growing the trees to processing the wood and making the finished weapon, takes place in Hokkaido. This ensures consistent material quality and a careful finish.

Its heavy, well-balanced build makes this suburi bokken ideal for developing strength, endurance and correct cutting mechanics. The extra weight works the upper body and core effectively, supporting all-round development. The well-designed balance helps you keep control and correct alignment even as fatigue sets in over many repetitions.

Hokkaido oak is known for its dense grain and durability. It tolerates moisture well and is not prone to warping, which extends its service life. Tozando's quality lacquer finishes the surface and protects the bokken from scratches and wear over years of training.
