Tsuba

Tsuba and tsubadome, Tozando

The Tozando tsuba is a high-quality, durable guard for your bokken. Its job is to protect the fingers and hands in partner practice by stopping the opponent's sword from sliding down towards the grip. It makes training safer, especially in kumitachi and other contact exercises where distance and timing change quickly.

The carefully finished tsuba sits firmly on the bokken and keeps its shape even under heavy use. The material has been chosen to withstand repeated strikes and wear without cracking or flexing too much. The light but sturdy construction does not upset the balance of the sword; instead it supports a natural grip and controlled movement.

Tozando is known for manufacturing quality that respects traditional budo equipment, and this tsuba is likewise made for long-lasting training use. It is a practical accessory for anyone who trains regularly with a bokken and values safety and a careful finish.
